In the days leading up to winter break, many schools hosted fun events to bring school communities together and to celebrate the many winter holidays. 

Fair Oaks Elementary School students were wowed on Nov. 7, when Japanese comic strip artist and children’s book author, Misako Rocks, came to the school to share about her work and demonstrate how to draw. 

Widely celebrated by people in the Mexican and Latin American communities, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebrations also took place at more than one school around the district in early November. 

Fair Oaks Elementary School’s Breakfast, Books and Pumpkins event has quickly become a treasured tradition at the school.

While the 2025-26 school year is still young, Osseo Area Schools is already making preparations for a smooth transition to new attendance boundaries at the elementary and middle school level for the fall of 2026.
